Mighty people serving a mighty god *

We serve a God who is mighty in power, mighty to save, and mighty in love.
“The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.” – Zephaniah 3:17As God’s people, we rise with courage and strength to face challenges, fight for justice, and lift one another up.

Our God inspires hope, vision, and transformation.
“Consider him... so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” – Hebrews 12:3
As God’s people, we aim to inspire each other—encouraging faith, stirring joy, and reminding the world that God is still at work.

God moves with kindness and favor, offering peace to all.
“Peace to those on whom his favor rests.” – Luke 2:14
We respond by being people of goodwill—extending grace, acting with compassion, and seeking the good of our neighbors.

God opens the door to everyone, inviting us in without condition.
“I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” – Revelation 3:20
We strive to be a hospitable people—making space for the outsider, the weary, and anyone in need of belonging.

God is faithful and unshakable. We can build our lives on His promises.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart…” – Proverbs 3:5
As God’s people, we seek to be trustworthy too—living with integrity, keeping our word, and standing firm in love.

God longs for relationship with us, always reaching in love.
“How often I have longed to gather your children together…” – Matthew 23:37
We are a people who yearn for more of God, for deeper connection with one another, and for a world transformed by grace.

At Bethel, we believe we are called to reflect the very nature of the God we serve. We don’t just gather to talk about who God is—we gather to be shaped by His Spirit, to let His character take root in us. As we grow in faith and community, we seek to live out the character of a M-I-G-H-T-Y God—becoming a M-I-G-H-T-Y people.
This is hopeful work, because God has already promised to make us more than we could ever be on our own. As Paul reminds us, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”(Ephesians 3:20–21)
We believe that same power is at work in us today. A mighty God is shaping us into a mighty people—people who live with courage, inspire hope, extend goodwill, welcome others, remain faithful, and yearn for God’s presence.
At Bethel, we are not mighty by our own strength. We are mighty because the One we serve is mighty. And together, we carry this hope forward: that God’s love and power will continue to shine through us, for this generation and the next.
